A Chinese teenager wants compensation from the nine people who allegedly helped him sell his kidney so he could buy an iPad and an iPhone.

The 17-year-old, known only as Wang, is said to have suffered renal failure after his right kidney was removed by a surgeon in May 2011. The report did not say who the recipient of the organ was.

According to China's government-run Xinhua News Agency, one of the defendants received about 220,000 yuan (about $34,000 CAD) to arrange the removal and transplant. He paid Wang 22,000 yuan and split the rest with the other defendants, which include medical staff from the hospital where the operation took place.

The report said the boy responded to an online ad. His mother became suspicious when she saw her son's new Apple electronics and noticed his fresh scar.
Wang's lawyer is asking for 2.27 million yuan in compensation, reports CNN. The two-day hearing ended Friday, and a verdict is expected at a later date.

A New Jersey mother has filed a lawsuit after her breast-feeding video was turned into porn and posted all over the Internet.
MaryAnn Sahoury agreed in January 2010 to demonstrate nursing techniques for an instructional video to help other moms, reports CBS.

The video was posted to Parents TV's YouTube channel, where someone ripped it and edited in sexual acts performed by a woman who looks like Sahoury, according to the report. She was later horrified to find it on dozens of porn websites, with both her name and her baby daughter's name in it.

Sahoury is suing Meredith Corp., the parent company of Parents TV, for breach of contract.

Meredith said in a statement it is investigating the ordeal.
"We took immediate action, hiring leading law firms and online specialists to file take-down demands, clear online caches and create positive references," the statement said.

"We took these actions even though Ms. Sahoury signed a release authorizing use of the video across all media platforms, and holding Meredith harmless for any potential misuse of the video by a third party."

Horrorcore hip hop duo Insane Clown Posse has declared that they would be suing the FBI for classifying their devoted fanbase--known as "Juggalos"--as a gang in the 2011 National Gang Assessment.

Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope made the announcement at the 2012ii Gathering of the Juggalos on August 9.

The rappers said they would go through with the lawsuit ""no matter what it costs or what it takes," eliciting cheering, cheers of "Family," and even some crying.

The "Juggalos" are best known for their elaborate, clownish make-up and annual "Gathering of the Juggalos" celebration.

The FBI maintains, however, that subsets of the Juggalos "exhibit gang-like behavior and engage in criminal activity in violence," according to the 2011 report.
The FBI classifies the Juggalos as a "loosely-organized hybrid gang."

The report defines a hybrid gang as being a "non-traditional gang with multiple affiliations," and notes that most crimes committed by Juggalos "involve simple assault, personal drug use and possession, petty theft, and vandalism."

While "criminal Juggalo sub-sets" have been identified in 21 states, Juggalos are only formally recognized as a gang in four states, according to the report.

Almost a year later, ICP is fighting back against the classification.
"Let's get this straight, a Juggalo is not a gang member," Violent J, one member of the ICP duo, told Vice.
Violent J went on to explain how the classification could seriously harm individual fans. He offered the hypothetical example of a fan who simply got an ICP-related tattoo many years ago.

If such a fan were to get picked up for a minor offense like a speeding ticket, "he's in the gang file… Suddenly, it ain't just somebody who fucked up, it's a gang member that fucked up, and they're getting a heavier sentence."

Some Juggalos have already suffered. Arizona man Shawn Wolf says his appreciation of ICP cost him custody of his son, according to Spin.

"The state of California flew to my house [to see if I was fit], and it's all ICP-decked out," Wolf said. "Just because of that, I was kind of screwed."

Violent J added that the lawsuit wasn't just for their fans, but also for the employees of Psychopathic Records, the independent record label founded by ICP.

"Some of these people... have been working here for 20 years," he said. "That's their career now. They have kids, and wives, and husbands. Next thing you know, they're working for a gang."

ICP and Psychopathic Records have launched the website Juggalos Fight Back in order to help build their case against the FBI.

A mother and son from Tamarac, Fla, may be placed on Santa's naughty list after being accused of stealing $2 million worth of toys.

The Broward Sheriff's Organized Retail Crimes Unit arrested Ignatius "Michael" Pollara, 46, and his mother, Margaret Pollara, 70, on Thursday, accusing the pair of stealing more than $2 million in merchandise, WTVJ-TV reported.

Sgt. Rich Rossman said the son's alleged crimes were especially egregious.
"He made it a goal of his to steal from all 50 states within one year, which he was very proud of and he did accomplish," Rossman told The South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

The Pollaras allegedly used a system called "box stuffing," according to Rossman.

The son and mother, along with an accomplice, would allegedly enter a store, grab a cheap item in a big box, empty the contents, and hide it in the store. They would then fill the box with smaller, more expensive items, seal it, and pay only the price for the original inexpensive item.
Pollara, with the help of his mother, would sell the stolen items on the Internet and use the proceeds to finance trips around the world.

"He was proud of it. This is his job. I go to work with the Sheriff's Office, he goes to work and steals," Rossman told WSVN-TV. "He was due to leave Tuesday. He was going to Australia."

The Pollaras' alleged need for greed extended to frequent shopping perks, and that's how Toys "R" Us investigator Patrick Fairley was able to track him, Rossman told The South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

"One of the things [Michael Pollara] would do was he would use a reward card," Rossman said. "Obviously, for his small-ticket item, he still wanted to get his reward points and that was his downfall."
Fairley tracked the reward card's usage and discovered that since May 9, Pollara had visited 139 Toys R Us stores in 27 states, spending a total of $6,737.94 on 175 purchases.

"Without a doubt this is the most prolific booster — the term for a shoplifter — that we've ever come across," Rossman told the paper.

Michael Pollara faces 13 counts for grand theft, criminal conspiracy, dealing in stolen property, felony petty theft, and organized scheme to defraud, according to court records. He was being held in the Broward County Main Jail on $318,500 bond Friday, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

Margaret Pollara faces 6 counts for grand theft, petty theft, criminal conspiracy, and organized scheme to defraud, and is being held in a detention facility on $29,100 bail.

When an angry Roger Pion allegedly took a tractor and crushed six police cars and a van last week an unlikely anti-establishment hero was born.

The 34-year-old Vermont man, who pleaded not guilty on Tuesday, has been lionized on Facebook pages, tribute songs and a t-shirt.

The Orleans Sheriff's Department alleges that Pion, smarting over an earlier arrest for marijuana possession and resisting arrest, destroyed much of their fleet in Newport last Thursday.

Two officers jumped from a cruiser as Pion headed towards them. He was arrested at gunpoint two miles away, the Burlington Free Press reported.

On Facebook, there's a page called "Roger Pion, the magnificent," with more than 2,300 fans. Supporters are asked to donate to his defense fund. The page is filled with snarky posts riffing on popular advertising campaigns.

In a parody of the famous milk ads, there's a photo of Pion's vehicle and the caption "Got Tractor?" Another shows demolished patrol cars with a tag line lifted from Verizon Wireless, "Can you hear me now?"

A t-shirt with the words "Free Roger Pion" and a picture of a tractor has been created, according to the Associated Press.

In a YouTube video, Pion's relatives show money they say his supporters have given to him, according to Fox 44.

There's no love lost between Pion and law enforcement. In court papers reported this week by the Burlington Free Press, police said that Pion had been "uncooperative and aggressive" in past encounters.
Pion is charged with 15 crimes, including multiple counts of felony mischief, reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. In the YouTube video, his relatives said he's been unfairly targeted by police for years.

The 21st season of "Survivor," the TV series debuts Sept. 19 and throughout the show's history, producers have tried every possible variation to keep the game fresh.
But a nudist resort in Chesnee, S.C., is doing the game in a way that will never be past muster with CBS censors: A completely naked version.
For the last three years, the Carolina Foothills Nudist Resort has been holding a two-day contest called "Survivor -- Nudist Style," where participants not only outwit, outplay and outlast each other, but they out-naked each other as well.
This year's competitition attracted people from all over the country to compete in challenges such as balancing red balls on square pieces of wood and completing a puzzle underwater as well as water volleyball and beanbag tossing.
To the naked eye, this might seem strange, but the first "Survivor" winner, Richard Hatch, is an avid nudist who walked around in his birthday suit on the show. In addition, other castaways have doffed their drawers for various reasons, mostly strategic.
Unlike the TV show, the winner of the nude Survivor contest didn't win $1 million, just a two-foot tiki trophy, which, luckily, is big enough to cover the privates if the person decides to stay naked when they leave the resort.
